Programme Highlights: Five Forward-Looking Themes
Jointly designed by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), the Cambridge Institute of Islamic Finance (Cambridge IFA) and the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF), the curriculum centred on four pillars—Learn, Lead, Connect, Progress. Core modules covered:
• Current and future challenges in Islamic finance
• FinTech & API-driven innovation for Islamic financial services
• Net-Zero 2050 targets and sustainable practices in Islamic finance
• Project-based collaborative leadership labs
• Leadership fireside chats, technical masterclasses and cross-cultural team challenges
Pre-course leadership diagnostics, one-on-one mentor interviews, high-intensity project assignments, technical keynotes and scenario-based competitions were used to cultivate leaders capable of driving change in a complex global environment.
World-Class Faculty
The faculty featured more than 20 industry leaders, including Dr Adnan Chilwan (Group CEO, Dubai Islamic Bank), Stella Cox CBE (Managing Director, DDCAP Group) and Sheikh Nizam Mohammed Saleh Yaquby (renowned Shariah scholar). During a faculty roundtable, Mr Ali Ma of TYC Finance shared the firm’s experience in promoting Islamic and sustainable finance in Hong Kong, earning strong endorsement from participants.
Comment from Mr Ali Ma
“It was an honour to exchange ideas with the world’s foremost Islamic finance experts. By integrating sustainability, fintech and leadership, the programme delivered practical market tools. TYC Finance will apply these insights to forthcoming initiatives such as the Belt & Road Islamic Sustainable Infrastructure Fund and Hong Kong’s pilot projects for financial diversification, creating long-term value for the Hong Kong market and the global Muslim community.”
